Youth Group News: “Being a Christian is not the result of an ethical choice or a lofty idea, but the encounter with and event, a person, which gives life a new horizon and a decisive direction” Benedict XVI    We are looking forward to the new school year and all of its wonderful possibilities. We invite you to join our parish’s youth group and meet other high school age teens, participate in service projects, have fun and grow in faith. Membership requires your presence when your schedule permit’s, there is never pressure to attend just the opportunity to participate when you can. Here are some of the activities that we will be doing this fall.  Our general meetings will be held on the second Sunday evening of each month. An additional meeting will be held on a Wednesday evening later in the month. Each month we have a service project that we are involved with, some of the projects include cooking a ‘Sunday Dinner’ at The Center in Asbury Park, assisting the Respect Life Committee with its annual dinner at Doolan’s and Christmas Caroling at local nursing homes. Our basketball program will start in early October with games beginning in December. We are especially looking for volunteers to help in the creation of a short film to be entered into the Diocesan film festival and musicians to replace our Stations of the Cross ensamble. These are what we are planning but new ideas and input are always welcome and appreciated.

Our Sunday meetings 7pm to 9pm will be held on September 13, October 11, November 8, December 13.

Our Wednesday meetings 7pm to 9pm will be held on September 23, October 21, November 18, December 16.

Our service projects are scheduled for The Center in A.P. September 20th, Right to Life Dinner October 25th, food collection/bowling November TBA, Christmas caroling December TBA.
